David Maraga

The Chief Justice and President of the Supreme Court is one man who stood out especially after he nullified the August 8 presidential poll. Most people, including the petitioners were never prepared for the ruling. Mr Maraga has attributed his decisions to his strong faith and belief in God. For the bold decisions he has been making in the Judiciary, Mr Maraga will surely be remembered for many generations.

Ezra Chiloba

Chilobae, as he was christened by Kenyan ladies was a news maker in 2017. The embattled IEBC CEO was just a normal guy going about his business before the August 8 General Election. However, after the voting on August 8, regular updates from the commission turned him into an instant celebrity thanks to his famous phrase “Form tharry four bee”. However, his fortunes turned after the National Super Alliance blamed him for the bangled August poll. Mr Chiloba stopped being Chilobae to some as Kenyans bid him bye.

Martin Kamotho

Famously known as githeri man. Mr Kamotho is one guy whose fortunes turned thanks to the general election. The man woke up to go and vote but was turned to an instant celebrity thanks to a single photo by a random teenager. He is one man who helped lower the tension over election after netizens photo shopped his photo into anything they could imagine. Mr Kamotho’s fortunes have since changed and now he even owns a piece of land in Nairobi.

Nyashinski

Nyashinski is surely one of the best singers we have in the country today. Nyash is always releasing songs that resonate with a majority of Kenyans. When he was nominated for the MTV Awards, Kenyans rallied behind him and voted. Even the president voted and Kenyans on twitter could not stop talking about it.
