NASA postponing Raila's swearing-in evokes harsh reactions online

National Super Alliance (NASA) gave a statement on December 10, announcing the postponement of the much-anticipated swearing in of leader Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka as President and Deputy President respectively.

The announcement came just a day to the event that NASA supporters from across the country had looked forward to.

NASA’s statement evoked reactions from Kenyan from both divides with supporters crying foul over the many unfulfilled promises.

Huge disappointment. Clearly NASA is playing a game of musical chairs with no intention of following through. Just cancel the function in its entirety and stop taking supporters on an endless goose chase!— Ajuoga (@KiriinyaKenneth) December 10, 2017

It doesn't matter where the inauguration of the people's president @RailaOdinga will take place.. Whether in a hall, in the moon or in an disclosed location. The bottom line is, it must be done on 12th December and the remaining will be a match to victory.

Others on social media had a hard time debating on whether the event had been postponed or simply canceled.

Postponed not cancelled.

The EVENT is postponed to pave the way for proper preparations of the same. The struggle is on. Don't despair. Don't lose hope. We shall get there. Soon.— Philip Etale (@EtalePhilip) December 10, 2017
