Kenyans woke up to the sad news that Nyeri
Governor Wahome Gakuri died after he was involved in a freak accident on Tuesday
7 November along the Thika-Murang'a road heading to Nairobi for a talk show.
The governor’s driver and bodyguard are still in hospital after suffering
serious injuries from the accident.
The Nyeri Governor becomes the second governor to die in office after Former Nyeri Governor Nderitu Gachagua died while receiving treatment in London.
