Protests emerged in different parts of the country after the IEBC confirmed the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta as president for a second term.
Kibra, Mathare and parts of Kisumu County saw youth take to the streets - most not happy with the fact that Raila Odinga had lost the presidential election again
When police in Siaya County got tired of playing cat and mouse games with pro-Raila Odinga's demonstrators along the Siaya Kisumu highway following the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta, they came up with a new trick.
Rowdy youth failed to come back from this skilful yet dangerous trick.
They resorted to throwing tear-gas canisters into the burning fires that the demonstrators lit to block the roads.
The canisters would later explode, scattering the crowds.
