The former Devolution Cabinet Secretary promised to sort out the underdevelopment that the two constituencies have experienced due to poor management and partial allocation of resources by the past administration, promising to ensure equal distribution of resources and establishing of development projects not just in the two Sub-Counties but Kirinyaga as a whole.

Some of the pressing issues that Waiguru promised to address include poor infrastructure network, water shortages, unemployment among others.
