Manchester United on the verge of landing the signature of highly rated winger

According to reports from different media outlets this morning, Manchester United are set to complete the signing of Croatia winger Ivan Perisic, with a fee of around 45 million set to change hands.

It has been claimed that the Perisic has done everything he can to stall travelling with the Inter Milan squad to China for their pre-season preparations, with a move to Man United on the cards.

Perisic, whose quest for Champions League football is evident seems to be pushing for a move, with him not yet confirming whether he will travel with the Italians to China.

It is said that if he gets on that plane, Jose Mourinho will have to instruct Ed Woodward to pursue other targets of the same position.

Strikes from Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Romelu Lukaku saw the red devils secure a 2-1 win against Real Salt Lake, with Antonio Valencia being red carded in the second half.

Jose Mourinho has been an admirer of Perisic for a long time, his crossing ability key in prompting the Man United manager to pursue him.

Perisic, who averaged over 200 crosses for Inter Milan last season, looks set to be United’s third signing of the summer, with rumours of Eric Dier, Nemanja Matic and Radja Naingolaan being wanted also alive.
