ALFRED MUTUA: I WILL BEAT RUTO IN ROUND ONE COME 2022.

Governor Dr. Alfred Nganga Mutua of Machakos county has now shown his interest in vying for the top government office come 2022. Mr. Mutua said this during his manifesto launch on Thursday, July 6, with deputy governor Eng. Francis Maliti and wife Lilian Nganga.

Mutua's manifesto focuses on health care, infrastructure, educational and training institutions, table banking and many more. 

Dr. Mutua is among other government officials who have shown their interests including: Governors of Mombasa and Meru counties, Ali Hassan Joho and Peter Munya consecutively and also the vice president William Ruto.

In assumption, the NASA coalition which might still be in existence and will also present their flagbearer if or not Raila steps down incase he wins in the forthcoming August 8 general elections.

The Governor stated this during his 2017-2022 manifesto launch dubbed Propelling Machakos from the Third World to the First World. Dr. Mutua said that he has keenly and properly consulted his elders from within and around Kenya who gave him the go-ahead on his vision 2022.

He earlier stated that the new manifesto for his second term 2017/2022 will be a clear indication of what he plans to transform Kenya as whole.

"Our duty is to empower all members of our society regardless of their age or gender,” he said.

The governor's manifesto under his party Maendeleo Chap Chap focuses on more job opportunities, building polytechnics and technical skill training schools, table banking, bursary funds, health care and infrastructure.

The Governor said the New City Plan will be complemented by the proposed Machakos International Airport which will connect the county to the world. Dr. Mutua is known to be one of the few vibrant governors in Kenya with an excellent record in matters development.

General views differed with critics stating that he is a 'Jubilee' mole and that he is a project to make him become Deputy William Ruto's running mate. However, some assured of his win in reference to his development records.
