Nasa government will nurture Kenyan youth talents , says Raila Odinga

Nasa's presidential flagbearer Raila Odinga has slammed Jubilee government for failing to construct the five stadia it promised during the 2013 campaigns.

He termed the government as unsupportive to the Kenyan youths in the sports sector.

Odinga said so in a move to consolidate votes from the youths in which he promised to improve the current stadia we have in the country.

"When we (Nasa) get into power we will improve the current stadia we have and in conjunction with the County governments we will ensure we have a stadia in each county," Odinga said.

He said this during an interview at Radio Maisha during the morning show 'Bunge la Maisha' hosted by Alex Mwakideu and Nick Odhiambo on Tuesday 4, 2017.

He also promised to construct sports academy where youths will sharpen their talents and even make a living out of it.

"Kenyan youth have great talents more than other countries in Africa thus we are planning to come up with sports academy which will sharpen the talents of our youths. This will provide earning for our youths. We only have a few Kenyans are playing in the English Premier League which should not be the case," Odinga said.

Furthermore, Odinga also promised to ensure that the industrial pacts will be highly considered to ensure that youths in the country get Enterprise funds easily.

"You cannot ask youths to provide IDs and security for them to get the Enterprise funds which they do not have. This makes the Jubilee government a failure in this. We will ensure that youths also get skills on how to spend the funds and sharpen their working skills," Odinga said.
