SUPURRHERO: Cat thwarts burglary attempt, launches attacks on suspect

A suspected burglar showed up in a house determined to get in, only to realise that the family cat was bent on keeping them out.

The incident took place in Indiana, Finley Avenue, where according to the cat’s owner, the cat (Binky), who was firmly held in her arms for protection, started growling out of shock. It is said that the noise pinky was making, then in the backyard caught the attention of her owners, who found nothing when they came to look.

Minutes later, a man started knocking on the cat owner’s (Cynthia) door demanding to be let in. The owner said, “He was beating and kicking, saying there were men out to shoot him, kill him…”

Once Cynthia refuse to let the man in, he decided to go use the window, a decision he would later regret. The cat launched an attack on the man’s arm when he stuck it in, trying to get into the house. When he tried to come in through the window again, the cat launched another attack, stalling the would-be thief, in time for the police to come and arrest him.

He was to be charged with vandalism and residential entry, with the cat to thank – it would have been different if the man got in.
