MADARAKA DAY THEATRICS: Deputy County Commissioner gets creative with makeshift dias

As the 54th Madaraka day celebrations came and Kenya celebrated some of its achievements, and as the president was addressing the nation elsewhere, his speech was to be read by all county representatives in all sub- counties in Kenya.

In Muhoroni sub-county there was no dais at all from where the deputy county commissioner Kipkech Lotiatia could allow the parade, sing national anthem and even read the president speech from.

As time seemingly ran against the organizers, they hurriedly picked an old wooden crate which the senior civil servant would perform his duties from.

He climbed up the dirty crate and comfortably did all he could despite it being an eye sore to everyone. Hopefully the next national event the sub-county will have a better one.
