Independent candidate plans to use six choppers, over 100 vehicles for campaign

Hoping to dethrone incumbent Governor Jackson Mandago, Uasin Gishu governor aspirant Zedekiah Buzeki is set to have a major campaign as an independent candidate.

Buzeki made the decision to contest as an independent candidate after he lost the Jubilee Party primaries in Uasin Gishu to Mandago.

With six helicopters branded and 100 vehicles on the ready, the billionaire businessman is set to launch one of the most expensive campaigns ever witnessed in Kenya. He plans to use these vehicles and chopper to crisscross the county in search of votes.

Buzeki, who expressed his disappointment at how the Jubilee primaries were conducted in Uasin Gishu, is known to have given jobs to Uasin Gishu residents and hopes that his good deeds are rewarded in the upcoming elections, by being chosen to lead the county as governor.

When you visit Eldoret town today, look up, you will see white helicopters with traces of red and blue, colours used to identify Buzeki in the county. They also have slogans written in Kalenjin – ‘Buzeki Nebo Chego’ and ‘Tai Ole Tai’, meaning ‘Buzeki the Milkman’ and ‘Forward Ever’ respectively. Milkman because of the dairies he owned before he sold them.
