KPL Weekend Wrap: AFC scraps a win over Muhoroni as Sofapaka condemn Zoo at the bottom of the log

Allan Katarrega’s 35th minute goal ensured AFC Leopards get back to winning ways after losing 2-0 to Chemelil Sugar seven days ago. The three points have seen Leopard level with Sofapaka and Bandari at 10 points each.

Zoo Kericho search of their first win in the Kenyan Premier League continues after a 3-0 home humiliation by Sofapaka on Sunday afternoon.

On Saturday, Gor Mahia rallied to beat Sony Sugar 2-1 in Kisumu. Ernest Wendo’s goal was cancelled by George Abege in the 36th minute but the 15-time champions restored the lead early in the second half, ensuring all the three points thanks to MeddieKagere.

Defending champions Tusker played to a 1-1 draw against Ulinzi in Ruaraka on Saturday. Both goals were scored in the dying moments of the game with Stephen Waruru stepping up for the Brewers in the 77th minute.

Two minutes later, Hassan Abdalla equalized snatching a point. Tusker and Ulinzi lie 6th and 13th respectively on the log.

The action continues tomorrow (Tuesday) as Kariobangi Sharks welcome Nakumatt at 4.20 pm, while Posta Rangers will lock horns with Mathare United later in the day at 4.15pm.
