A middle-aged man in Kawangware was forced to drink sewage water in an effort to save his life. This came after he was denied drinking water by the residents. On Sunday a man identified as Tony found himself in trouble after he tried to steal a wheel from a parked vehicle in Kawangware, Kabirio ward.By bad luck for him and good luck for the owner he was found ready handed unbolting the rear wheel of the parked car.The thief thought that the owner of the vehicle was at his house at that time making him take advantage of his absence to gain an extra shilling. When the owner of the car found him he raised an alarm and the man was attacked by an angry mob who among them boda-boda riders and matatu people. They tried to burn him using two tyres, one around his waist and the other one around the neck but the man bolted with the burning tyres yelling at the top of his voice. He was forced to plunge into a sewage trench in an effort to put off the fire. When the fire went off the man who had serious burns all over his body drunk sewage water to quench his thirst after he was denied drinking water. The man was left on his own to die by the residents and passerby. His family member came and rushed him to the hospital though he was in a very critical condition. The vice of people stealing tyres from parked vehicles is so rampant in the area.
