Trump foreign policy a big threat for Africa

Trump administration's foreign policy is a threat to global peace. Africa stands to be the first casualty if President Donald Trump makes good his threats to cut down on foreign spending to improve American's lives.

Denying African nations support will be worsened by endemic corruption and theft of resources meant to benefit the masses, which Kenya is unfortunately part of.

The position taken by Trump on foreign policy will affect several sectors, key among them health, security and foreign relations. Africa should, therefore, be very worried about Trump leadership.

It is no wonder, therefore, that demonstrations against the billionaire businessman were held simultaneously with his inauguration before spreading to other countries the following day.

However, our hopes are on his predecessor's hope that Trump will rely on his advisers who should render helpful advice to him without fear.

Someone should tell Trump that even American interests in East Africa will be affected in the event that he withdraws support to East Africa, particularly Kenya.
