Man under ‘siege’ from estranged wife.

A man in Kaloleni, Nairobi is crying foul after his ex-wife threatens all his lovers. James, (Not his real name) says that his wife of three years left
him when he failed to secure a job. They had a baby boy who is
turning four years in January. Seeing as he was helpless, he tried
menial jobs but could not sustain the small family. Things went south
for the couple and he left, he couldn’t explain all the circumstances
to this writer as they were ‘too private’.

Soon with help from friends, he found an affordable house. It was not
far from where he lived before. And as any real man, a
decent woman came along and he married her. One day as he came back
from work, he wound his new wife had been clobbered senselessly and
ordered to leave the house. The ex-wife had done the job.

“She came, beat her up and ordered her to leave her husband alone.
She warned her of never interfering with her man again lest she faced
dire consequences.” Recalls a neighbor who witnessed the said
altercation.
Another neighbor said that the woman who came from coast had genuine
love for the man as she provided everything when he had not yet gotten a
job.

“Watu wa pwani hawana cha kupigania aliamua tu kuenda.” (Women from
coast are humble, she decided to oblige). A man who operates a shop in
the neighborhood said.

A few months later when James had married yet another woman, she was chased in the same manner.
It is then that the man in question turned to the elders who live in
the estate for advice on what to do. One urged him to relocate to
another estate. Yet another told him to report her to her parents. It
became apparent that it was an uphill task for him. He shocked the
meeting when he said; “She will soon find out where I have gone, their
family is associated with witchcraft. No wonder she gets wind of any
woman I relate with.”

He amused another meeting of friends of a tale that left him speechless.
“As he walked home with a woman he had picked for the night, the
ex-wife waited for them on the way and chased away the girl.” Said a
friend. He further says that the man may consider relocating to
another town so as to solve this mystery.
Interestingly, the woman who also hails from western Kenya has been
seen entertaining men with less abandon.
