Why God? Do I really need Him?

Well, the answer is definitely YES!! More than you can possibly imagine. We all have a supreme power or being whom we pay allegiance to and that is our God.

I attended church and the preacher gave an illustration of God and us in heaven. He made us imagine of God showing us a glimpse of how our lives would have been. I quote” You should have driven a car at 21, a CEO at 25 and most probably traveled to over 37 countries by 40.You were to have converted many people to Christ as well.

In contrast, during the time you were on earth, you never actually achieved any of the above…! Just a moment of thought, are we currently living to the standards and the specifications that God actually intends us to? A piece of thought indeed.

It is therefore important that we seek to live and achieve Gods plan in our lives. Moving on with the Christian perspective, from the Bible;

Isaiah 45:2 says I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:

I believe that no matter what plans we may have, all our plans are impossible without God. As Isaiah says in the above verse; He will straighten our paths…our future and everywhere we will trend on.

As you begin the journey to success and dream achievement, let God be part and parcel of each and every plan that you have.

HOW DO WE INVOLVE GOD IN OUR PLANS?

Constant prayer
Prayer is key as it is communication to God. Pray that God walks with you, prepares a way for you and blesses the work of your hands. Pray for His guidance and prosperity.

Submission of our plans to god
Think of a five year old trying to lift a table. It’s totally impossible. If the father helps the kid lift the table, the child shall have achieved the goal of lifting the table though in essence, the dad performed most of the task. In our case, dreams may seem so hard to achieve but once we submit them to God, He helps us.

Seeking god’s guidance at all times
The Bible advises us not to trust in our own understanding but rather trust in God fully. This means that we should always seek God’s guidance in tasks we undertake. We can’t without Him but Can with Him.

Created for a purpose

Jeremiah 29;11 “For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for prosperity and not evil, to give you a future and a hope”. KJV

Ephesians 2;10 For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus, to do good works which God has prepared in advance for us to do. KJV

Note this from the above verse:

We are heavenly products since we are God’s workmanship
We are created in Christ Jesus
We came to earth loaded. Something prepared in advance suggests that before birth, we were already packed for duty.
We have a destiny predestined for us. We were created for good works and we must do them.
Indeed we have a task ahead of us and a purpose to achieve.
For us to be true leaders, we must have God with us.
