Thumps up Kenyan Medics.

I am proudly Kenyan. Proud in the sense that I am part of the Kenyan citizenry and society of good will that is geared towards doing that which is good irrespective of the setbacks that have in one way or another pulled us as a country back. Our fore fathers fought a successful battle and endlessly chatted the clarion call for freedom, independence and better-living conditions not just for them, but for the subsequent generations. I really  admire this level of selflessness.

A healthy nation is a wealthy nation. It's for this matter that I wish to commend the Kenya medical society for a job well done. I am talking about the successful yet risky 23 hours operation of the Sarcophagus twins that has just been conducted at the Kenyatta National Hospital by a team of selfless & experienced neurosurgeons, plastic and reconstructive surgeons,  pediatric surgeons and anesthetists. The first of its kind in Sub-Saharan Africa.

This is akin to the infamous Siamese twins separation led by one Dr. Benson Solomon Carson in 1987. Indeed Kenya is a hub of bright minds, great skill and professionalism.

Congratulations to the 50 member team that performed this task and put Kenya on the global map for good reasons. To the twins, Blessing and Favour, you are victors for fighting this hard battle. May God continuously watch over you and enable you recover and live long. No country like Kenya!
