STRUGGLING WITH REALITY IN CAMPUS TODAY

We met when she was preparing to do her fifth concert tour. It is humbling to see how such a big star is friendly towards all people regardless of race, wealth or power. Am yet to overcome this because I cannot vividly remember how it all went down in my dream. Reality whip crack number one: the girls/ladies I like and want, don’t even know if I exist and if they do well, not really interested. However, someone wise once said, “do not sit down and worry over why a girl doesn’t like you instead let her stress herself over why she does not want you.”  So, Rihanna your loss! (Rihanna this is just but PR)

Reality whip crack number two: not everything is automatic.

For instance, the reason why we have many youths in Kenya who are educated and unemployed is because since childhood they were taught to believe in the system. That is go to nursery school then primary school then secondary school then university or college then finally proceed to getting a “well paid job.” This is not usually the case. If anything corruption is the thing to go by. In fact, I recently interacted with a colleague who told me that there was a guy in their village who after having his degree had to part with 75,000 Kenyan shillings to get a job in the capital- Nairobi as watchman earning a gross salary (not even net) of 30,000 per month.

I also found out the hard way that not everything is automatic when after taking out a girl to lunch, supper, swimming the next day she still had her legs closed mnatakanga nini (what do you really want)?

I once was a firm believer in love but sponsors made me change tact. I mean doesn’t one feel good after chasing a girl with your vibes if she digs them then you hit it off? Then the issue of money maybe comes in later.

A Mercedes Benz S-class refresh slowly parks in the university parking lot on a Friday evening soon afterwards a chic you had tried to sell out your policies to, goes hurriedly into the sponsor’s car and off they go.  As if the universe is trying to mock you another car drives in this time a Harrier, the chic who told you she really is trying to concentrate with her studies and out of respect you let her be, as the habit hurriedly rushes to the car and off they go.

Reality whip crack number three: sponsors be sure as hell there is payback.

I apologize in advance to the younger generation to come but I will also follow suit it’s going to be interesting though because now I’ll be chasing after the current sponsors’ daughters.

Reality whip crack number four: following after God money opens doors to literally like everything in life today in Kenya.

In as much am bitter about the sponsors I cannot blame them money tends to change absolutely everything if you have it and also if you don’t have it. Take for instance me am a young guy who likes to turn up like every day of the weekend but out of maybe five weekends I turn up twice or thrice because I have to really work for the money.

In a nutshell reality strikes in when one is at his/her lowest moments. Don’t wait for that moment.
