23-year-old cancer patient hopeful even as doctors give him 3 months to live

The story of Abdiaziz Aden is one that touched my heart after I saw it on television. He is a 23-year-old born cancer patient from Korogocho slums in Nairobi. His dreams and hopes of surviving even after doctors in India told him that he had 3 months to live is very inspiring. His leg had to be amputated because of the cancer and also to prevent the cancer from spreading but it was too late.

The cancer spread up to his head and that is when his family asked for help to take him to India to seek medical attention. The doctors told his father, Isaaq Aden, that if they did the surgery, his son would still not survive and even asked him to sign some papers if he was willing to risk the life of his son. The emotional father chose not to risk the life of his son and that is when doctors gave him painkillers to reduce the pain and he returned to Kenya.
