Museveni is weak for repeatedly arresting Besigye out of fear

Museveni unknowingly considers himself the strongest man standing in Uganda while in truth he is afraid of the regime of the opposition in case it ascends to power one day.

He fears that he will wake up one morning and see Besigye sitting on the throne as the new president of Uganda.

Through recurrently arresting Besigye, Museveni is assured of weakening the opposition politically but in real sense, he is making Besigye more popular.

Besigye is also known to the world as a real democratic hero who despite many arrests, detentions and challenges has maintained his fight of liberating the people of Uganda from a dictatorial rule.

Besigye seems fearless even though Museveni intimidates him in order to deny him a chance on the throne soon.

Besigye was detained for 43 days under house arrest after the just concluded Uganda General Election; a detention meant to deter him from collecting enough evidence to file an election petition. After releasing him from detention, he was arrested again on his way to Najjankumbi in Kampala to attend his party's prayer.

It’s only a coward who uses fear tactics to bring down his opponent rather than face him man to man on a battle field.
