Self-employment will help end joblessness

It has become a Kenyan culture to wait until after graduation and of course after the uncertain tarmacking period to begin making money.

We seemingly have grown to accept the notion that life begins after graduation. We have then accepted to wait until after the four years of campus to then wait a further two years to finally land a job and start making money.

This, however, should not be the case, university should be the place where you come to grow yourself both academically and in other spheres of life, instead it has evolved to be the meeting point of fun and reckless living.

The key to solving this unemployment problem is for most of us to be self-employed. This will not only create more jobs but help grow the economy, and ensure university graduates don't end up as garbage collectors.
