A lecturer at Pwani University collapsed and died while on board a Uganda-bound bus. Karisa Beja died on Friday in Nairobi where the bus had made a stopover. Mr Beja's sister, Rose Kahaso, said her brother had left Kilifi by bus on Friday morning for Kampala. "My brother left home for Kampala but we were shocked to get information that he had died after collapsing in the bus in Nairobi," she said. Beja's nephew, James Mbogo, said his uncle also taught at a university in Kampala. The body was flown back to Mombasa for a postmortem. Mr Mbogo added that his uncle was diabetic, and was also suffering from high blood pressure. "'My uncle had a chronic health problem," he said.
