Someone needs to wake up in the Ministry of Education

Hearing the Goverment talking about introduction of a new subject in the current curriculum, i was happy. I thought it was a subject on corruption and its effects, or the overall performance of the nation development and growth.

I why the Ministry of Education thinks that Chinese is better than english. Why should we study Chinese just because they built Thika road? Does it mean when the russians build Turkana Highway or any other Highway in kenya we shall add Russian in the system?

I dont hate china but why study Chinese? Nobody in the ministry can explain why Chinese and not Spanish, German or any other language. The goverment should make it mandatory that any contractor wishing to get a contract in kenya should be able to speak Swahili fluently no matter where they are from. This will create jobs for our teachers and locals people. It's a method of creating the 500,000 jobs annually as per the Jubilee Manifesto.
