Homa Bay, Kenya: Chaos erupted at Olare Market in Homa Bay as supporters of senatorial aspirants Moses Kajwang and Philip Okundi clashed.

Police were forced to shoot in the air to disperse the rowdy crowd in the Sunday afternoon incident.

Homa Bay women representative Gladys Wanga said some ODM supporters were injured during the fight.

At Olare market, Kasipul MP Oyugi Magwanga, John Mbadi (Suba) and Gladys Wanga spoke before they introduced Moses Kajwang to address the gathering. When he began his speech, supporters of Okundi heckled him, prompting the clash.

The ODM team avoided Homa Bay town where it was to hold its last meeting of the day and opted for Rangwe Township.
