Pilot injured in Machakos military chopper crash

Machakos, Kenya: A pilot was injured after a military helicopter crashed in Koma village in Matungulu, Machakos County.
Police and military officials said the chopper was headed for Garissa for military operations when it suddenly came down at about 10 am.
Machakos County Police Boss Gideon Amalla confirmed the incident.
Amalla said they are yet to know the cause of the crash.
“The pilot and his colleague have been taken to hospital in a fair condition. The chopper was headed for Garissa at the time of the incident,” said Amalla.
He said the chopper was damaged following the incident. Kenya Defence Forces operate in parts of North Eastern.
