Nairobi, Kenya: The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Thursday ordered the arrest and prosecution of Mombasa Woman Representative Mishi Juma Mboko over hate speech related charges.

Mboko is said to have made the utterances during Madaraka Day celebrations in Mombasa.

National Cohesion and Integration Commission has pledged to deal with persons propagating hatred and causing division in the country.

Wednesday, DPP revealed that he is conducting investigations of alleged incitement and hate speech on social media by political activist Moses Kuria.

This follows a recommendation by the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) to have Kuria prosecute over the said allegations.
