Turkana Oil discovery

As the country received the news of Kenyans striking oil with excitement, the pastoralists of Lokichar in Turkana south where the oil was discovered, are expressing fear that they might lose their grazing land due to evictions after the exploration of oil and at the commercialization stage. Even as such sentiments are just fears out of rumors within Lokichar town, the residents hope that as investors stream and developments reach their county that their water troubles too will be addressed.
