Protestors in Mandera want county commissioner out over insecurity

 

MANDERA, KENYA: Hundreds of Mandera County residents took to the streets of the border town on Friday protesting over insecurity that has claimed lives of many in the area.

The residents led by local political, religious and community leaders held more than six hours of peaceful street march before giving the local County commissioner Alex Ole Nkoyo an ultimatum of two days to leave the county, failure to which they threatened to stage endless street protests.
