Five fun ideas this Valentine's Day

Most couples love the romantic bliss of Valentine’s Day. The day lets you forget everything else and focus on the amazing love you share with your significant other.

As much as couples look forward to this special season, it can be hard to figure out what to plan. If it were possible, we would all choose to fly out to our dream destinations but for now, we have to work with what we have.

Try a classic dinner date: Sometimes you don’t have to think too hard about what you can do to celebrate this day. Some couples just like to have a romantic diner at a restaurant nearby and it’s actually a great idea because there are no distractions. This year, you can add a new twist by trying a new restaurant or better yet, go to the one you’ve always loved.

Spend the day with nature: You might be looking for something that will help you connect and relax. There are so many ways to unwind together, but being in nature is one of the best options to try. Imagine being in a peaceful location where you can relax and talk about the fond memories you have while the birds are chirping around you. So romantic. This idea is pocket friendly and doesn’t require a lot of planning.

Spruce up movie night: Watching movies together is nothing new for most couples. It is something that probably happens every week, but since it’s V-Day, you can make it extra special. Do something fun like ordering corny, matching Valentine’s outfits and prepare some snacks. You can even put up some crazy themed decorations.

Have a two people party: What is better than partying with your bestie in the comfort of your home? This is a plan you can try, especially if you are on a tight budget but still want to celebrate the love you have for each other in a fun way. You can buy some wine for the night, set up your favourite playlist and dance the night away until the sun comes up. If you are in a long distance relationship, you can still have a virtual party.

Play couple games: Playing spicy games together can also bring some humour and romance into your relationship for the day. There are lots of games to choose from so take time to research and explore some of the games you might enjoy as a couple. This will also rejuvenate the chemistry you have.
