STIMA’S MUGUNA NAMED KPL’S BEST:Youngster aslo bags Midfielder of the Year award

Western Stima midfielder Kenneth Mugambi Muguna emerged the biggest winner in this year’s Kenyan Premier League awards held last night at Safari Park Hotel.

The 20-year-old midfielder was voted the Most Valuable Player, Midfielder of the Year and runner-up in the New Player of the Year category.

For a player making his debut in the top league, it was a rich night for him as he walks away with a total cash award of Sh1.6 million and 2 LG television sets.

Rangers’ Jackins Atudo was named Defender of the Year while Gor Mahia captain Musa Mohamed was second.

Experienced Sofapaka defender who has six goals to his name Noah Abich was third in the defenders category and took home a LG Microwave in addition to the cash prize dished out.

Coach of the year Award went to Tusker’s title winning tactician Paul Nkata who pipped Gor Mahia’s Ze Maria as Chemelil’s Francis Baraza rounded the podium.
