Handball: Adhiambo upbeat as Nairobi Water seeks to complete double over Ulinzi Sharks

Defending Kenya Handball Federation (KHF) Women’s Premier League champions Nairobi Water Queens influential player Michelle Adhiambo is confident they will complete the double over Ulinzi Sharks ahead of the top of the table clash set to be played today at Nyayo Stadium.

Speaking to the Standard Sports, Adhiambo who has been key in the champions’ unbeaten run, said they are looking forward to a thrilling show against Ulinzi who they narrowly defeated 29-28 during the first leg.

“We made many mistakes during the first leg which we are going to rectify. We have no injuries which is good for rotation as we aim at winning the title again,” said Adhiambo.

“The match will not be an easy one but we are confident we will win the match.”

Nairobi Water are top of the table with 22 points after winning all their 11 matches and will be keen to maintain their unbeaten run.

Ulinzi Sharks are fourth with 16 points. They will host Nanyuki Ladies tomorrow on the same grounds.

In the men’s Premier League, leaders NCBP will face third place Ulinzi, Rangers entertain GSU and Gunners play KU.

Other matches will feature Vickers taking on Generation as Rangers host Tigers.

Tomorrow, Strathmore will play Black Mamba, Boomerang host Tigers, Rangers face Technical University of Kenya and Vickers take on Kenyatta University.
