Kenya Polo: Handicap changes help three players

Three players who excelled at the 10-Goal-Kenya International Championships have benefitted from handicap changes announced by Kenya Polo Association.

The trio Bobby Kamani, Kelvin Jumba and Fredd Kambo, who are all members of Nairobi Polo Club, were a joy to watch in the Lord Cranworth Cup, which ended at Manyatta Polo Club over the weekend.

Kamani and Jumba, who had their handicap stand at handicap -2 before the weekend event, have shot to handicap -1.5, while Kambo has shot from handicap -0.5 to 0 in changes announced by KPA chairman, Pete Griffiths.

Kamani thanked KPA’s Handicap Committee for the good gesture, saying he’ll focus on participating in top assignments set for December and January.

"I’m grateful to the handicap committee for recognising my hard work but I'll not be complacent as I still have serious assignments ahead, " said Kamani.

Their team, House In the Wild, lift the Junior Championships in the Lord Cranworth Cup after overcoming Dudutec 6-4 and Winebox 6-5.

Kambo propelled Tatua Demand to the final of Lord Cranworth Cup, where they lost 7.5-6 to eventual champions Smartcrop.
