Tusker FC are through to the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Cup finals.

The brewers stunned Ulinzi Stars 1-0 in the first early-kick off semifinals played on Saturday afternoon at Nyayo Stadium.

Second half substitute Erick Otieno headed home a 90th minute goal from a Levin Odhiambo’s cross to send Robert Matano’s charges to the finals where they will meet either AFC Leopards or Kakamega Homeboyz.

Speaking after the win, Matano said they have immediately switched their focus to the do or die FKF Premier League top of the table clash against record champions Gor Mahia.

In the local league, Tusker are one point ahead of Gor and they must win the match to stand a chance of retaining their title. Tusker have 64 points while Gor have 63 points.

“I am extremely happy that we have won today. I believed that we will score despite the barren 89 minutes and now we have an opportunity to win the cup.

“However, our focus shifts to Gor Mahia. That is a big game which we must win and we are switched on,” said Matano.

Tusker now have the possibility of winning a double if they beat K’Ogalo and also win the cup finals.
