Wazito will play in the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League next season.

The Muhoroni based outfit survived being relegated after thumping Muhoroni Youth 3-0 in a FKF Premier League promotion/relegation playoff match played on Saturday at Muhoroni Stadium.

During the 2022/23 FKF Premier League season, Wazito FC finished in the 16th position, leaving them in a position to fight for their place in the FKF-PL against Migori Youth, who had secured the third spot in the FKF National Super League.

Stephen Mbulere opened the scoring at the stroke of half time after meeting Robert Onyango free kick to give Wazito a narrow 1-0 half time lead.

In the final half, Onyango turned goal scorer after beating the Migori Youth keeper from a direct free-kick and extending Wazito’s lead to 2-0.

In the 54th minute, Collins Neto further solidified their position with a goal from a well-executed play.

With this victory, Wazito FC has earned their chance to again challenge for the upcoming 2023/24 FKF-PL season.

They will face Nairobi City Stars in their first game of the season on August 27.

Migori Youth will participate in the FKF-NSL for the upcoming season.
