Barcelona mock Man Utd with brutal Lionel Messi tweet after Champions League win

It's the catchy song sung to toast their recovery under the stewardship of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

But Barcelona used it as a stick to beat Manchester United with after their Champions League collapse at the Nou Camp.

United fans have sung "Ole is at the Wheel" - their version of Waterfall by the Stone Roses - since he replaced Jose Mourinho in December.

But the wheels came off in Barcelona as they were undone by the master Lionel Messi.

So the Spanish club's media team didn't miss their big chance.

Straight after the 3-0 victory which carries them through the semi-final, Barca posted an image of their two-goal talisman with the caption: “Messi at the wheel”.

“Messi at the wheel”

Their Instagram post was liked over 600,000 times.

The Reds manager knows the size of the job he has on his hands if he is to get United in a position to match Barcelona next season.

United face Everton on Sunday before the Manchester derby in a weeks' time.

"The Barcelona team here, that's the level we have to aspire to get to," Solskjaer told BT Sport after the game.

"We know we're not there yet. We can get there but we have a lot of work to do.

"If we want to get back to our true level and traditions we know we have to get to challenge the Barcelona's.

"I've got to say they were a couple of levels above over 90 minutes today and over 90 minutes at Old Trafford."

Solskjaer added: "We want to play these games again next year, so we've got a massive week coming up with Everton, City and Chelsea.

"We're disappointed, but there's no point dwelling on what could have been.

"Now we have to concentrate and focus on our week."
