Eden Hazard admits he "doesn't care" what manager Maurizio Sarri says after his man of the match performance in Chelsea's Carabao Cup win over Tottenham.

The Blues forward netted his side's second in regulation time after N'Golo Kante drew the home team level on aggregate at Stamford Bridge.

Fernando Llorente took the game to penalties with a headed effort for Spurs in the second half but Chelsea came out on top in the shoot-out.

Hazard didn't take a spot-kick but was awarded the man of the match award for his sensational performance from the game.

He spoke on Sky Sports after the fixture where he was asked: "Did the manager's comments before the game anger or inspire you Eden?"

He responded with a laugh, saying: "I don't care. I just play my football. It doesn't matter what the manager said. I just focus on my football and want to do my best for this team."

Sarri launched a scathing attack on his Chelsea team after the defeat by Arsenal, revealing he finds it hard to motivate his players.

"I have to say that I'm extremely angry, very angry indeed," he said.

"This defeat was due to our mentality more than anything else, our mental approach. We played against a team which, mentally, was far more determined than we were. And this is something I can't accept."
