The deceased who had earlier spoken to a local media house on Wednesday evening while lying on his hospital bed, narrated how he watched the match between Chelsea and Arsenal at a local bar with other fans before the incident took place.

It is while at the bar that he met the officer who was also watching the game.

According to Waweru, a scuffle ensued between him and the officer attached to the Muruka AP Camp and other locals, prompting him to leave the bar and get his gun.

“The officer hurriedly left the bar after the argument only to return with a gun and shoot at me,” said Waweru.

"He ordered me to lie down and I obeyed. He then shot me three times at the back on my waist, above my back and on my hand and dragged me to the police camp which is 750 meters away and forced me to drink water while I was bleeding profusely,” Mr Waweru recounted from his hospital bed.

At that time, other locals had already left the bar leaving Mr. Waweru behind.
