Retired Mali Sevilla FC legend, Frédéric Oumar Kanouté will be the toast of the first-ever LaLiga Experience in Kenya on Saturday.

This will be during the live screening of the El Clasico in Nairobi.

Now a LaLiga ambassador, Kanouté, who made history in 2007 when he became the first footballer born outside the continent to be crowned the African Footballer of the Year, arrives today.

Kanouté will visit the country courtesy of SportPesa and LaLiga. He will be the star attraction during the formal launch of the partnership on Saturday from 3pm during the live viewing of the Real Madrid versus Barcelona match at Uhuru Gardens, Nairobi.

“We are delighted to welcome Kanouté, modern-day legend of the game, to Kenya for the launch of the LaLiga Experience in Kenya.

“His career progression is an ideal example of SportPesa’s football development mission we have for Kenya,” said SportPesa’s chief marketing officer, Joyce Kibe.
