Manchester United miss out on William

Willian is set to sign a new contract at Chelsea despite interest from Manchester United, according to reports.

The Sun claim the Brazilian, 27, is closing in on a bumper four-year deal to keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2020.

New United boss Jose Mourinho had been desperate to sign Willian, who he took to Chelsea from Anzhi Makhachkala in a £32million deal in 2013.

United were reportedly prepared to pay up to £60million for the winger but Chelsea are said to be unwilling to sell one of their star players to Mourinho.
