Rugby: Kenya face Uganda in Elgon Cup

After a heartbreaking performance in Madagascar for the Confederation of African Rugby tournament in June, the Kenya National 15s team returns to action against Uganda in the first leg of the annual Elgon Cup at Kyadondo rugby club today.

The Kenya Rugby Union has rested all the players who took part in the World Cup qualifiers and fielded a Kenya A side that comprises the next crop of players who have impressed and are on course to make the first team.

In a side marshalled by Nakuru coach Dominique Habimana, a variety of players who have been knocking on the national team, will get a chance to prove themselves. This year, the tournament include male and females teams as well the Under-19 sides.

Fixtures: U-19 Uganda v Kenya (12.30pm), Uganda Women v Kenya Women (2.30pm), Uganda v Kenya (4.30pm)
