The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has summoned Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria over alleged vote-rigging claims.

Kuria is said to have made the allegations on his social media pages detailing vote-rigging in select parts of the country, ahead of tomorrow's General Election.

The DCI, in a statement on Monday, August 8, asked Kuria to appear before authorities to help with investigations.

"The attention of the DCI has been drawn to a sensational social media post attributed Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria, insinuating very serious allegations in respect to election offences," DCI tweeted.

In a press briefing earlier in Embu County, the Kenya Kwanza team, led by Kuria said it had intelligence that chiefs were among those being used to rig the elections.

"This so called deep state is overrated. There is no single vote meant for William Ruto that will be lost. We will protect our votes at all cost," he said
