Public Service and Gender Cabinet Secretary (CS) Aisha Jumwa has said that 18 Huduma Centres countrywide will, in the next 100 days, start operating for 12 hours a day.

Through her official Twitter page, Jumwa said on Tuesday, November 1 that the centres will operate from 7am to 7pm on weekdays.

The minister said that Huduma contact centres will, however, operate for 14 hours, starting 7pm to 9pm on weekdays.

Jumwa also said that the ministry will roll out 100 Huduma Mashinani Outreach services, decentralising the services from the 18 key centres.

"As part of the Head of State's directive, the ministry will launch a tree planting programme through Huduma Centre's Adopt a 'County-Forest', targeting to plant 500 million trees in the next five years," said Jumwa.
