Home Golfer Japheth Obonyo braved strong winds from the nearby Indian Ocean waters and tricky pin positions to emerge the Division One winner in the ongoing 2022 NCBA Golf Series that teed off at the par-71 Mombasa Golf Club on Saturday with 110 golfers participating.

Playing off handicap 16 Obonyo returned a score of 38 stableford points to claim the title and register his maiden victory this year.
