Jose Mourinho has admitted Ashley Young could leave Manchester United in the January transfer window, but claims he would “love to keep” the winger at the club.

Everton, Swansea, West Brom and Watford are all said to be interested in signing the former Aston Villa midfielder, who has made just four appearances for the Red Devils this season.

And Mourinho, speaking after United’s 4-0 win over Wigan in the FA Cup fourth round, revealed that he is still waiting on the 31-year-old to make a decision on his future.

He added that he would be unhappy if the winger, who Sir Alex Ferguson signed in 2011, was to leave the club this January.
