Kenya Navy Golfer Major Joel Mochanga overcame all odds to take command with double victories in the September 2024 Mug Golf Tournament played at the par 71 Sea-Link Mombasa Golf Course in Mombasa County on Saturday.

Playing off handicap 8 Mochanga braved the prevailing unfriendly strong winds from the nearby Indian Ocean waters to emerge the day's gross winner after carding a seven over par 78 gross and also scooped the A division category prize with 70 nett scores.
