A sterling score of 44 stableford points was all that Adam Boru required to secure Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) Nairobi circuit tournament overall title at Vetlab Sports Club on Friday.

Boru, playing off handicap 21, had a smooth sail to victory throughout his round of 18 to finish five strokes clear of Men winner Lukas Musembi with 39 stableford points.

In third place on a score of 38 stableford points, was Papa Ben Omolo, playing off handicap 24, beating Eric Mugo and Charles Muriuki on countback on a similar score of 38 stableford points to Men winner third and fourth respectively.

In the lady's section, handicap 23, Nelius Kariuki inked 37 stableford points to deny Lady Captain Elizabeth Ng'ethe Lady winner prize as Kariuki had a better countback score.

Best among Guest players was Peter Kihara playing off handicap 28 and returning a commanding score of 41 stableford points. As handicap 7, Willy Mastamet won Guest second prize on an equally authoritative score of 39 stableford points.

Leading KPA personnel in as Staff winner was Japheth Obonyo playing off handicap 21 upon posting a score of 40 stableford points fending off a stiff challenge from Staff second winner, Charles Odoo who raked in 38 stableford points. Terry Odoo was third with 35 stableford points.

Evergreen and former Kenya-1, Mary Karano was declared as best Senior (for over 65-year-old golfers) with a score of 36 stableford points playing off handicap 10. Parv Kavia also playing off handicap 10 clinched the Junior winner prize on a score of 39 stableford points.

Francis Wahome drove his tee-shot furthest to win the Longest Drive Men contest as Susan Ngure won Longest Drive Lady winner prize.

Inching his tee shot closest to the hole was Priscilla Karobia to bag Nearest to Pin prize.
