Meeting football legends

Generation Next

Manchester United’s Kenyan fans had an opportunity to meet football legends Andrew Cole and Quinton Fortune.

The two former Man United players were in the country during the English Premier League Trophy Tour.

The tour, sponsored by Airtel, gave the fans a chance to pose for photographs and get autographs at The Stanley Hotel, Nairobi.

Kyle Ombeta, 8, a Class Three pupil at St Mary’s School in Lavington, Nairobi, was one of the lucky fans. When Quinton met Kyle in an Arsenal Jersey, he gave him a high-five and signed on a Man United jersey that Kyle won.

Kyle started playing football three years ago at St Bakita Kindergarten. He is both a goal keeper and striker for his school team.

He has played various tournaments like Makini open and Brookhouse International School tournament.

He also swims, plays rugby and tennis.

Kyle said he is soon joining Ligi Ndogo to advance his soccer skills.
