National football boys' champions St Joseph Boy's Kitale kicked off their East Africa campaign on the front foot Saturday after thrashing Burundian outfit Mpanda 6-0 at Kakamega High School.

The Rift Valley heavyweights had a two-day rest before hitting the pitch and many fans were waiting to see their champions after Musingu, Agai and Butere Boys all played in the opening two days of the week long regional schools championships.
