With five matches left until the end of the 2024-2025 season, the race to win the FKF Premier League title resumes today with leaders Kenya Police looking to maintain their top spot when they travel to face Bandari at Mbaraki Sports Club in Mombasa.

Police currently sit top with 55 points, two points ahead of defending champions Gor Mahia and three more than Tusker, who sit third on the log.

Two consecutive wins against KCB (2-1) and Kariobangi Sharks (1-0) lifted the Law Enforcers to the summit above Tusker, whose irregular results saw them slip to third.

A win over Bandari will surely cement the Policemen’s top spot and going by the head-to-head record of the two teams’ seven meetings, the leaders have an upper hand.

Even though history doesn’t affect matches nowadays, Police will surely hope their three wins and three draws record will help motivate the team to a win. Bandari has only beaten Police once, that was in November 2023. Bandari are currently eighth with 40 points

In Machakos, wounded Shabana will hope their massive fan base follows them to Kenyatta Stadium when they face off against KCB.

Shabana who until last weekend were in the title race were hit with a blow after losing 1-0 to record champions Gor Mahia in a chaotic match played at Gusii Stadium.

KCB are currently in the worst form, winless in their last six matches, where four have ended in defeats.

Meanwhile, Nairobi City Stars' push to avoid being relegated to the National Super League will continue at Dandora Stadium when they play Mara Sugar.

City Stars are currently bottom of the table with 24 points, seven points off Mara Sugar who are also not yet safe from relegation. The sugar men sit 14th but with 31 points, two ahead of Murang’a SEAL, who are 16th and currently in the promotion and relegation playoff spot.
