Newly appointed Harambee Stars head coach Benni McCarthy led his first training session on March 12, 2025, marking the start of preparations for Kenya's crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification matches against Gambia and Gabon.
McCarthy made headlines on March 11 when he unveiled his provisional squad, which includes exciting new talents such as Kelly Madada and Andreas Odhiambo, along with midfielder William Lenkupae, who earns his first call-up while playing in Australia.
